Team Genesis started off back when CoD4 was released, as a Gamebattles team called TeamChaoZ on the NA ladder, although it was a British Clan.
After a while, TeamChaoZ had a 7-0 record but disbanded because the boys argued about taking gaming seriously was a good idea. Fortunately, tG Jaffa (Formerly KINGKONGJAFFA) stayed with tG MarchanT to form GNSG (Genesis Gaming), another Gamebattles team.
After a while, GNSG kept disbanding due to losses on the record, and tG Jaffa turned to Halo 3, finding a decent team on there. tG MarchanT was left to run GNSG, with many good players joining, the team was solid, and consisted of these players:
GNSG I ExTREME (tG MarchanT)
GNSG I SCRiBBLE
GNSG I ELiiT3Zz
TOM LA 24
GNSG I FuZiiOnZz
GNSG I WoNDeRZz
GNSG I NxRush
LostInBelgium
GNSG Mainly formed on CoD WaW. Where they dominated the ladder, and were at one point in play off position. Due to arguing, they disbanded. tG MarchanT took a break from competative gaming.
After watching Jaffa at a Local Halo 3 LAN, MarchanT wanted to get back into competative gaming. He already knew that XL LAN had CoD4 Console, so he discovered Decerto.
That is when tG Formed, firstly as a Decerto team, hoping to get to Autumn XL 2009 in Manchester. Unfortunately, money was an issue so the new team couldn't attend the LAN.
tG were a European Console ProMod Team, hoping to soon breach all aspects of the game. ProMod Teams, Sniping Teams, Decerto Teams, Gamebattles Teams, Bounce teams, Glitching Teams...
Then off the console, and onto the PC. Team Genesis were trying to find a commited PC ProMod team to join the tG Industry. Also, teams of editors etc.
Instead, this task was too hard, and after the team having a short break, they decided it was best to change the whole prospects of the team. The name of the team was changed, the tag was changed, the players changed, and overall, the team became better.
Genesis Gaming were now just a console Promod team, but this all happened during winter 2009/2010. The unfortunate part to this was that lots of players had exams, so a break was needed again.
A four month break was the plan, which then spanned out to seven months (on and off teamplay). Overall, all players prefered to study and get the best results, as this would be their future.
After exams, the team lost some contact, and were not the 'brothers' they used to be. Change was need, again.
The team was reformed, with different players, consequently, these players were not as commited, and, some even left the team after 3 days due to the 'lack of matches'.
The future was looking bleak, until SlixR (Highbot Sam) came back to console and created his own team, which, Genesis looked to merge with...talks are ongoing.
